Salinity Solutions, a pioneer in high-efficiency water treatment, has announced a significant expansion into the Indian market through its newly established entity, RealZLD™. This strategic move addresses India’s critical water scarcity by providing a disruptive Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) service designed to help industrial firms meet stringent new government legislation.

The first major commercial deployment for RealZLD™ will be at the Bosch automotive plant in Bidadi, near Bengaluru. By integrating Salinity’s patented HyBatch™ reverse osmosis technology, the system delivers up to 98% wastewater recovery while consuming 90% less energy than conventional alternatives. This breakthrough provides a sustainable, cost-effective solution for large-scale industrial water recycling in one of the world’s most water-stressed regions.

2025 has proved to be a landmark year for the company’s technical and commercial recognition. In addition to the Bosch win, Salinity Solutions was named Breakthrough Technology Company of the Year at the Global Water Awards in Paris and secured Groundbreaker of the Year at the UK Water Industry Awards. These accolades underscore the company’s status as a leader in the global transition toward sustainable industrial processes.

“Our collaboration with RealZLD™ allows us to bring a truly transformative solution to the Indian industrial sector,” said Steve Dunn, Commercial and Operations Director at Salinity Solutions. “The Bosch installation validates the commercial scale of HyBatch™ and its ability to dramatically reduce the carbon footprint of water treatment on a global stage.”

The Shackleton team has supported Salinity Solutions since 2021.
